| 内容記述 | This paper tries to show how a heroin of Irish dramas, Dervogilla, is created and described by W.B. Yeats and Lady Gregory in their plays for the Abbey Theatre. Comparing Lady Gregory’s Dervogilla with Yeats’ heroin, I will examine the differences of their ways of description and treatment in their plays. While Lady Gregory focuses on the heroin’s eloquence and petition for forgiveness, Yeats emphasizes a unity of love and relieving remorse for her committed crime in the 12th century. | |||||
