During the Augustan age（ 1880-1730）, which is the specific period of forming a public realm in Britain, several female writers begin to make their writings publicized. A prominent female figure of them is Lady Anne Finch, Countess of Winchilsea, who was highly praised by not only J. Swift, J. Dryden or A. Pope in the 18th century but also by Wordsworth, and considered as the forerunner\nof the Romantics in modern times. Consequently, she is highly regarded as a pre-Romantic poet and as a prominent poet of the first generation of women writers.
